I am continually amazed at the transformations of my challengers. It is a privilege to be part of their lives!
I started the 21 day fix back in February, that was the first time I had ever tried Shakeology, an accountability group, or focusing on my diet in ways other than Lean Cuisines and all the carbs I could fit in a sitting. I opened my package that first day, opened what seemed to be tiny colorful containers, and felt certain i would starve and not lose more than maybe a couple of pounds. Despite my skepticism, I am also incredibly stubborn so I vowed to see the first 21 days through. With the help of my group, I was able to complete all of the workouts and stick to the diet plan in spite of several birthdays and other special events in those first three weeks. I was pleasantly surprised to have lost 8.5 pounds, 16 inches, and an undeniable change in shape in those 21 days. Fast forward to today and I've stuck with the program for four months and lost 23 pounds. What I love the most is that the 30 minute workouts are totally doable- I work full time as a nurse and have a 3 year old and 1 year old so something that is quick and can be done at home while my kids are sleeping has been invaluable. I've also learned to love the meal plan- I feel so much better when I'm eating appropriate portions of real food. I was worried that cutting carbs would negatively impact my running but I am running faster and farther than I ever have before. I also can't endorse my coach, Jennie-Laurie, and accountability groups enough- I truly believe I would not have been nearly as successful without them! I am so thankful for Beachbody and for Jennie-Laurie’s coaching! I lost over 40 pounds doing the 21 Day Fix and drinking Shakeology. I have tried various other programs and approaches for weight loss before and never lasted more than a week. This program is different – it taught me how to eat for life, the Shakeology provided me with nutrition that I was lacking, and the exercises were only 30 minutes per day and kept me engaged. The accountability groups made all the difference in my success. Having a coach and other challengers for support and education kept me motivated and focused on my goals. Not only have I lost the weight, I feel so much better. The unexplained pain I had previously has greatly subsided, and I have so much more energy. I have never felt better!
